Ingredients:

3 glasses of flour
1 tsp of leaven
1/2 tsp of salt
200 g softened margarine or butter
1 glass of sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp of vanilla sugar

Preparation:

Sift the flour, leaven and salt into the bowl, put it aside. Melt margarine (or butter), add sugar and stir slowly until the sugar dissolves completely.  Gradually mix in sifted ingredients until homogenous consistency. Cover the dough and place it for 2 hours into the fridge.

Warm the oven up to 180 С. Grease baking pan with butter. On a clean floured surface roll out portions of cooled pastry 8-10 mm thickness. Cut dough molds.

Bake within 8-10 minutes in warmed oven; take out when cookie seems pale. If cookie reddens too much, it will be hard, and we need it to be soft and a bit powdery. After 2-3 minutes remove from baking pan and place on grid for cooling.  New year cookie is ready.
